Pressie and swaps

This lovely wall hanging was made for me by Cheryl  in Maree's 6 Item Swap and was under the Christmas Tree, I wish I had opened it earlier so I could have admired it a little longer...... thanks very much Cheryl its terrific.

This one I made for my partner Dzintra in the same swap.

This wall hanging I made for my partner Alison in our "Stitcher's Inc" group.

Lastly I made this primitive stocking for my friend Tereasa for her Christmas gift. This really was fun to make and so different from the usual things I've been making.

Well I'm back in the sewing room and making plans for next years projects..... I soooo love a plan......
maybe a cuppa might be a good idea before stitching...... see you all soon.

What a week

Last week was a very busy time for me.....  family BBQ on Saturday 7th, Birthday on  Monday 9th, Tuesday Devon Pixies with the girls.

Oooops no photos of the BBQ, forgot.

Corinne gave me this most wonderful gift.....
Old Country Roses bauble, my favourite pattern.

Gavan gave me a beautiful bracelet.... its more lovely than this photo shows.

This cute little carriage was from Heather and June.

Then a rest with a coffee and biscuit.

Wednesday was our Tenpin Bowling Christmas Party, no photos there either.

Wednesday evening June, Corinne and me went to  QPAC  and here we are waiting for the show to start.... it was  fantastic, so glad we were able to see it.

Yesterday we had a lovely lunch with friends at Waterford and then home for a rest with coffee and cake.

Well it was a very busy week and it makes me feel tired just thinking about it but in the nicest possible way of course.....
Thanks to everyone who made this week so special.

These are the gifts I sent to Dzintra for the 6 Item Swap organised by Maree.

Something for the Christmas tree and something to eat.

                             Something for the sewing room.

Something to read and something smelly.

There is also something for under the tree so I'll show that after Christmas.

I was working on a Christmas gift today but can't show photos yet.

Lots to tell....photo overload

I am so lucky to be able to call these girls..... friends......
I knew they were getting up to no good...
but I still love them.

We had a great day celebrating my birthday enjoying High Tea at Devon Pixies......

can you see the cute little teapot on the plate ?

These cup cakes were fantastic

Tereasa arrived with a huge pressie for me, yep that's it in that beautiful bag she made.

and this terrific tree was inside..... love it

                                              A wonderful pressie from Teresa

and yes I love this little tea pot too.

This very fat Bon Bon was from Sandi and tucked inside was 3 Darrel Lea Rocky Road choccies.     No photos of those and I'm sure you know why.

Woohooo I have got a "Tag" of my own...... love it Sandi......

This card brought us all to tears .... with laughter of course.....
can you guess who these  6 funny looking chickens are ?

if you could only see Sandi's little captions inside.... she knows us so well.

Laurel gave me this Journal and soap.... I am a lucky girl.

These lovely candle holders are from Norreen...... yes love these too.

You girls are so special and I treasure your friendship so much... Thanks for the fun day.

I joined Maree's 6 Item Swap and  I received this parcel  from Cheryl ....

Something to eat..... there were yummie chocolates in this box but not now.

Something to read...... Oh Cheryl you really did spoil me with this book, I nearly bought it at the QLD craft show but resisted so how spooky is that......

Something for the Tree....  a very cute ornie.

Something for the Sewing Room...... I will put all of these to good use.

Something smelly..... How good is my wardrobe going to smell.

All my goodies together..... almost.... there is Something for Under the Tree, so I am looking forward to opening that one.

"It's Time for Christmas"

"Its Time for Christmas" is finished........just in time for taking its place in the Christmas decorations.

This is a Bronwyn Hayes BOM pattern from the  Homespun magazine, 4 of us from our Tuesday group have been doing it together so I'm sure the other girls will have photos to show soon too...... its such a bright festive quilt and I love it.

A couple of close up photos.

I'm a little bit sad really as Homespun was one of my favourite mags but the new changes to Homespun magazine are aimed at a younger market and I can't find any projects that suit my taste but I still have more issues from my subscription to go ...... its not all bad though as now I won't be tempted with new projects and will hopefully get on with things I already have.

Now to a swap gift, I received this lovely parcel from Melissa in Cheryll's Flower mini quilt swap, I did show a picture of the one I sent in an earlier post...... very nice paper with a matching card.

Thanks Melissa for this mini quilt..... I don't know if you have a blog or not so I can't link it there.... sorry.

Did you know ?????

that my friend....Sandi.... lost her mojo and I found it so being such a good friend I will give it back to her as soon as I have finished with it.......LOL......... there are a lot of different mojo's , house cleaning mojo, washing mojo, window washing mojo etc but the one I like the best is the sewing mojo so today I used a little bit of the cleaning one.... not much mind you ..... a quick flick with the duster, wash the floors and did the vacuuming.

                                                          Cleaning music

and then back to a bit of sewing, almost ready for binding.

                                                      Swap pressie wrapping

So I guess that I should send Sandi's mojo back now and have a cuppa, watch a bit of tele and relax.

Sorry Sandi..... I hope I didn't use tooooo much.

One more of the "Twilight Garden" quilt blocks done and heaps to go  but I will keep plodding on slowly but surely...... I know it sounds like a bit of a chore but I love doing this quilt so its not really a chore.

A little online retail therapy from "Cat n Cart Crafts" its so nice to get mail like this.

I have projects for all these bits and pieces, hopefully I can show the finished goodies soon.

This mini quilt  (theme was flowers) is on its way to............. nah I'm not going to say but if you are in Cheryll's mini quilt swap then you should keep an eye out  for the postie as it might be coming to your place.

Well I'm off to the sewing room for more secret sewing......

Don't you just love this time of year...... I do.......
