Tuesday girls and other stuff......

Another great day with the Tuesday girls...

unfortunately Nor was busy moving house and couldn't join us this time.

I finished the hand stitching on this project today.

I love this mini wall hanging.....

A great Sally Giblin pattern called....

It looks terrific hanging in my sewing room.

Corinne gave me a voucher at Peter's of Kensington  for my birthday last December.....

it took me soooo long to decide what I would like to buy.....

I chose these gorgeous Teaspoons and Cake Forks with Cake Slice....

Last Monday we went to  our favourite little cafe for morning tea.....

Yes this is a catch up post..... 

I have been sooooo slack and it has to stop....

JANUARY.....

I had such a good belly laugh when this arrived for me in the mail, 

I guess this will be hard to explain really but I will give it a go.

On retreat in January Jenny made a great bed for her dog and I talked her into making Scruffy a matching cushion..... so thanks to Scruffy Jen made me a bone cushion.

I guess you had to be there at the time to see just how funny this is.

I finally finished my wall hanging from retreat .....

I'm very pleased with it.

A quick peg bag project, I'm the proud  owner of 2 peg bags.....

This one hangs on my trolley and the other which De made for me stores my special pegs in the laundry.

First things first..... dinner at the Pancake Manor

On the way to the Tivoli we saw this very pretty tree so naturally I needed a photo.....

Yes it was raining but it did look fantastic.

What a terrific toe tapping.... hand clapping night out last night..... loved it.

They were such a fantastic group, if you ever get the chance to see them.....

go for it you won't be disappointed.

I hadn't been to this venue before, it is a fabulous old building.....

one doesn't usually take photos of the bathroom but I just couldn't resist.

So after sore hands from clapping and dry throats from singing we headed home.

Another swap bites the dust......

yes it was from our "No Fuss Swappers" blog.....

the theme this time was...."Kitchen Kapers".....

and recipe card with one of your own favourite recipe on it.

I was very lucky to have Kaye  sending to me.....

However did she know that the main colour in my kitchen was green....

clever girl I think.

Isn't the rabbit cookie cutter cute.... bit hard to see there really but take if from me he is cute.

I will have to give this recipe a go soon.

How funny is that.... I also sent a rabbit cookie cutter in my parcel...

My recipe was one given to me by a lovely lady that I worked with when I was only 17 years old,

it's called " Lazy Man's cake" it became a family favourite here in my house, especially with my children.

This lovely lady Joyce sadly passed away just a couple of months ago  at 92years young.....

It was a fun swap and a  very very simple no stress swap.

I had some happy mail this week....

Our online Friends in Stitching group enjoyed another swap.....

this time the theme was a Peg Bag.....

The lovely De was sending to me....

and I was very lucky to receive these great gifts.....

 The Peg's are soooo cute.....

I did receive my pressie early on our Sunday Stitchers get together....

it was great to have De give it to me in person....

Last Friday we ... the Tuesday girls..... went to visit the dark side.... Scrapbooking Show....

Of course we had a great time .....

A few little purchases..... 

or should I say " more stuff in the cupboard"......

Chooky's shed party

 I was off to a great start sewing along with all the virtual stitchers.....

yesterday I made these hexies for Miss Matty's Parlour, doesn't look like much when I see them now but they are fiddly little devils....  

Worked on a secret swap pressie.....

Today has been a better ....

I was going to work on a quilt that is waiting on my design wall but other things had to come first.

First I had a very brisk 3 km  walk.....

when I got home "Pippa" was waiting for her morning games....

She loves chasing her ball ....

Followed with a lovely cuppa and biscuits of course.....

another hexie on the way, I found a lovely sunny spot to spend a few quiet moments.

I finished the last 3 blocks of "Love Among the Roses"

only the sashings and borders to do, then to have it quilted.

I did finish the swap pressie but that will have to wait for another time.

Well that is it for my weekends work....

holy cow I'm sure I did more than that..... seemed like more ....

I did do some washing.... I guess that took some time.
