Very proud.....

of this young woman........ our daughter Liz.....
She was awarded second place in her first competition.....

Sadly I was away at the Toowoomba Festival when our youngest daughter competed in the sport section of a Body Building competition.......her sister Heather was there with her for moral support.....

I was so excited for her, she has had a lot of life changes in the last 3 years and this is not something that I ever thought she would be doing but it has given her a lot of personal satisfaction and confidence. She only started at the gym a year ago just to get a little healthier and have something to do but found  that she really enjoyed pushing herself.
When I rang to congratulate her she sounded so happy and in her usual fashion she said with soooo much excitement in her voice.....

" I f......in did it Mum"

our Liz calls a spade a spade ...... lol.....

Liz is our little pocket rocket...... a tiny person.....

I hope she continues to reach for her goals whatever they may be......

Super proud of you Liz.......

Toowoomba wrap up......

On the last day of our visit to the Toowoomba Flower Festival
we went to the
" Geham Craft and Garden Show"......

We got there a little early and wondered if we should bother to go as there didn't seem to be much happening but so glad we didn't leave as it was just fabulous inside the very large school building......

Is there room for shopping......
of course there is, just needs a little rearranging......

Heaps of beautiful craft shopping to be done......

Who are these naughty possums......

My shopping.....

The Geham School does a wonderful job with this show.....
Garden displays done by the students.....

Great displays of craft and table settings at the cafe........

Lovely fresh coffee and cakes......
served by the very polite and smiling students......

Loved it.....

After such a great morning we went to the "Quilter's Angel"

Only a little purchase for me here.....

So venturing on to our next destination......

"The Cobb & Co" Museum......
I was so pleased to take the girls there, I have been once before and it is a terrific place to visit if you are ever in the area......
We had Lots of fun and games here......

This is the naughty section of the post.....
OMG I nearly got run down by a mail coach......

Ooooops in the kids section.....

Who is that hiding in the mail coach ?

We were supposed to pedal really really fast to light up the blocks between us......
but alas we only lit up the bottom one.....
we were both stuffed........
think I might be getting a bit old for this caper......

There were quite a few chaps showing their wood working skills......
gosh they were sooooo good.....

There is a nice cafe here but it was soooo crowded we decided to move on to the next venue.....

We travelled quite some distance to see an old historical house and gardens but there was only a very rough dirt road so we gave that a miss .........
what do we do now I wonder......

Well we found this great country pub at Cambooya.....

"The bull and Barley"

Lunch was calling us......
it was soooo yummie......

Sadly our weekend trip has come to an end so off we go back home.......
