FNSI but that darn tennis !!!!!!

Well I did expect do get a lot more done but that darn Tennis interrupted me far tooooooo much but I guess some quilt pinning was better than none, I decided to start early in the afternoon hoping to get it all done but alas that wasn't to be.

I did get some of this needle turn done though but not much of that either as I had to keep looking up and down between games.

Never mind I did get the quilt pinned and have now started quilting so all is going well now.

I'm off to see what other ladies got up to in their night of stitching.... you too can check if you pop over to Wendy's blog.

FNSI

Chocolate at the ready for my nights stitching..... did I get as much done as I thought I would

........no...... but what else is new.

I began here with this mess and hoped I might get  heaps done..... dreamer.....

I managed to cut some fabric for piecing and do the last of the heart applique so that was good.

Still got a mess to work on though.

I also put this table runner together but naturally I stuffed that up and you can probably see where, I was shown a longgggggg time ago how to do this and get the pattern matching properly but I have forgotten exactly what to do so this will just have to do for now, its for my table on the patio so if I put enough Christmas decorations on it then then my secret will be safe except for everyone who looks at my blog.

Of course the left over pieces don't match either but you must promise you won't tell anyone.......

Well that's my lot for the FNSI so I'm off now to check how all the other ladies went with their sewing.

Thanks again to Wendy from Sugarlane Quilts for organising this fun night.

FNSI and a little purchase

Well once again I didn't seem to achieve much with the FNSI.... I did have heaps planned but I can't stitch as fast as I would like to...... sadly I can't show what I did get done as they are both secret Santa stuff so you will just have to believe me when I say I did do some stitching.

Its always nice knowing that we are stitching with others and I'd like to Thank Wendy for organising these nights..... pop over and see who else was playing with us.

I made a small purchase at "The Christmas Beetle" and it came with this lovely lace which was such a surprise .... a nice little gift, Thank You.

I hope to make this fabric into a table runner very soon or at least before the 1st December when all the decorations go up.

FNSI

Its time for FNSI again and I'm hoping to make some progress on my swap pressies also some stitching for myself...... oops sounds a bit optimistic but big plans are better than no plans. Pop over to Wendy's blog and join in the fun.

I have finished another block from "Twilight Garden" and I still have heaps to go but I'm back on deck with it again although I have said that before but I really mean it this time, I love this quilt and would like to see it finished soon.

At this time of year we are all busy with secret sewing, this is a sneak peek of one that I'm doing.

This plant was bought for me by my Mum quite a few years ago now, she had been on a trip to the Toowoomba Flower Show... it was a tiny plant at the time and I haven't got a clue what its called but its now flowering and looks so pretty...... its a pity that she never got to see it in flower, she loved bright flowers and would have loved this one.

FNSI

This doesn't look much for my nights stitching but I'm happy with what I have done.
It's my "Crazy Christmas" quilt and its a "quilt as you go" so heaps of sashing to stitch down .... today I attached the binding and that will be finished soon.

Chocolate made the evening go a little faster and was so yummie too....... I'm off to check out other FNSI stitchers to see what they achieved...... pop over to Wendy's blog (our host for the night) to see who else played along.

FNSI

Grab the Friday Night Sew In (FNSI) button

I have my project all ready to go for tonight's FNSI, I never seem to have my projects organised for the stitch in but not this time. If you would like to join in the fun pop over to Wendy's blog and add your name to the list.

I forgot to put this little project in my last post...... its a Libby Richardson pattern perfect for this frame that I've had in the cupboard for a longgggg time. Sorry about the flash reflection  but I think you can still see the gorgeous little bear.

Well I'm off now to buy some chocolate for my nights stitching.....

FNSI

Well I got off to a good start with the FNSI .... layered and pinned the tree skirt then started the quilting.

I did all the ditch stitching first followed by stitching around the applique.... then started the stars on the dark sections of the skirt.... all was going ok until I decided that the stars were too small so I spent the rest of the night unpicking them all so today I did finish the quilting so all was not lost.

I think a bit of blog hopping might be in order now so I'll go and check out other FNSI ladies and see what they were up to last night. Stitching is always more fun when you know that others are sewing along with you.

FNSI sewing

Thank you Heidi and Bobbi for the FNSI it certainly helps with motivation knowing others are stitching along with you.
Ages ago I started  string blocks but as usual I got side tracked with other things so last night I got all of these done, while working away each piece reminded me of the projects I used them for so I have decided to call this quilt "Memories Past"

I finished another block of "Earl Grey Moment" quilt from Faeries in My Garden, one more to go and then I can put it together..... yay

I then moved on to Christmas Fun wall hanging, its been very slow going with this one but it will be finished for Christmas I promise.

It doesn't look like a lot but it kept me very busy and I was very pleased to get it done.
I hope you all enjoyed stitching in the FNSI as I did.
