Another big day out...... who said I was slow ??????

Yes the Tuesday girls are out and about again...... this time its Norreen's birthday trip .....

Firstly ...... pressie giving.

And away we go......
It was Norreen's first time to be the driver and to say she was a bit nervous is an understatement...

I found this little chappy in the back seat of her car so he became my new best friend.

He was soooooo worried that he covered his eyes......

We went to "Pleasure Sew" first but I don't seem to have a piccie of this lovely shop.

Then morning tea..... as we do.

Then off to "Bayside Stitch Craft" where we found ...... Joy ..... how lucky were we .....

Joy, me, Teresa, Sandi, Norreen, Laurel

Yep more food..... lunch at the pub and a lovely lunch it was too.

We did venture to another shop called Britian on the Bayside but no piccies there either......

Well girls you said that I was tooooooo slow in my posting .... so there, you are wrong I'm as quick as a wink......
you can now pinch my photos......

Thanks for another terrific day, I hope you had a fun day Norreen.

Lots of catching up to do

I hope everyone had a Happy Easter...... mine was a bit up and down but generally happy.

We have been enjoying family birthdays.....
Corinne had a lovely birthday dinner at Wagaya in Brisbane, first time at a Japanese restaurant for a few of us and it was great..... I'm sure we will visit there again.
Gavan didn't go and its probably just as well really as I don't think we would have got him out from the sunken table but it was such fun...... loved it.

My beautiful grandchildren.
Jake 17, June 16, Corinne 22 and Clayton 14.

Funny to see the tiny one is the eldest.

Gosh I think they get their looks from me ....... hahahahahaha ......I could only hope.

Heather and Liz .... they won't be happy I put this photo on my blog.

Liz managed the chop sticks well but I didn't ..... a fork was called for as I would have starved to death.

Then it was Gav's birthday.... his choice was Pizza at home.

Obviously Gav was mucking around and put on a silly face for the camera.

On Good Friday we were so lucky to see Thomas (Robert 's son)  but sadly no-one including his Dad gets to see him very often ......... it was Easter 2 yrs ago that we saw him last so this was a real delight.

Boy the concentration on their faces, they were playing snap.
Thomas is now 12 yrs.

We also played  Disney Memory game and Thomas won that ... mind you my memory was put to the test.

The Disney game was given to my kids by my sister June when they were very young so it was great to have it out for Thomas to enjoy, the other grandchildren played with it when they were little too.

June (g/daughter)  showing Thomas  and Auntie Liz her horse.
Sadly I didn't get anymore photos but hopefully we will get to see again in the near future.

There hasn't been much crafting going on here .....since Easter Saturday I've had an awful sinus infection and it really knocked me rotten but I'm getting better as the days roll on.

Another 2 blocks from the "Christmas Belles"

Its good to be sewing them together as they are finished.

Another "Twilight Garden" block, I just have to add some silk ribbon to this block but I will leave that till all the blocks are completed.

I have had a little hold up as I ran out of thread but it should be here this week so I can get on with the last 3 blocks...... woohooooo

Our online "Friends in Stitching" group has a birthday swap and I had to make for Cathy, the theme was a black and white embellished bag with a couple of goodies inside so I chose the "Frilly Dilly Bag".
You can just see the little bag hanger, I have one so I hope Cathy likes it as much as I do mine....I hate placing  my bag on the floor when I'm out and about.

Well I think that's everything I had to report but I probably forgot something..... if I did I'm sure it will wait till another time.

A Birthday and a small finish.

The table is ready for a special day.....we love a celebration on our Tuesday get togethers.

Sandi was enjoying her birthday with us last Tuesday and of course cake with candles was in order.

She was being very silly or should I say naughty.

How many photos does one need really....... well we like lots.

Pressies of course.

Another terrific day girls.... I feel so lucky to have such wonderful friends.

I only have a small finish at the moment and its this very sweet little candle mat
a "Bareroots" pattern called Snug as a Bug Candle Mat.

This is a short post as I'm off to do more Twilight Garden, I'm  getting so excited now to get this
finished......  hopefully I will be back soon to show another block for this wonderful quilt.

FIS swap and more Twilight Garden

Our "Friends in Stitching" online group had a Gail Pan themed swap and this is the pressie I received from Vicki.

I love Christmas things so this was right up my alley and looks good on my mini quilt frame.

I nearly ate the card it looked so good....... all chocolate goodies.

There were chocolates too but I ate those very quickly.

You can just see the cute bookmark too.

Thanks heaps Vicki, I love it.

This is the gift I sent to Jenny.

I decided on doing a mini quilt as I know Jenny has a mini quilt frame and I felt sure she would like this pattern, naturally I had to add a couple of other goodies.

Yes yes another Twilight Garden block........ 6 to go......

No more craft for me !!!!!!!!

Yep I decided that making projects just isn't for me so I have taken up a new hobbie, yes I know I used to do that too but now I won't be making any of them .......I will only be shopping for  craft projects .... eating..... going out with the girls and more shopping......cause that's what I seem to do best.....

                                          Seeeeee told ya, shopping

Eating morning tea ..... I forgot to take a photo of lunch....boohoo

I will be back if I decide to make something but I doubt it as I like my new career.

A little quickie and a visit.......

Its nice to have a finished project even if its only a little one, this is the kit I bought at Lynette Anderson's "Little Quilt Store"   when we went on our Tuesday girls Birthday road trip.

My daughter Liz and my long time friend Faith both just happened to visit on Friday so morning tea with scones and tea were a must, it was lovely to have a relaxing day with both of them...... we didn't do anything to speak of really just sat and chatted....... fantastic.....

Liz enjoying  a scone with jam and cream of course.

Faith

My cuppa and scones...... no I didn't make them, a bit naughty but they were very nice.
