And theres more.......

These are 2 "Loyalty Card Wallets" I've made now I really should make one for myself as all my cards are clogging up my purse, nice to look at and useful as well.

I told you I have been busy.... this is from a book called "Gifts from the Heart" by Renee Plains.

I'm also working on my doll swap for our "Friends in Stitching" group and a few other things as well so hopefully I will have more piccies soon.

Quiet but busy

Well here I am .... better late than never..... I guess. I have been busy but obviously not in the blogging world, I might take a leaf out of Cathy's book and try to make a blog post once a week.... we will see, sounds like a good idea but we all know what happens to ideas at times.

This little wall hanging is taken from the book "A Christmas Story" by Anni Downs from Hatched and Patched, it actually is a block from the quilt but I thought it would make a cute hanger, its hanging in Tereasa's craft shop "Homespun and Beautiful".

I've also finished this wall hanging "Twelve Days of Christmas" also by Anni Downs, its a sample for Tereasa's shop and is creating a lot of interest.

I went for a fly with my hubbie.... Gavan..... to the Gold Coast and was lucky enough to see these whales... a Mum and her Bub.... unfortunately for me they weren't very active just seemed to be floating around having a rest but it was great to see them, not the greatest photo but better than no piccie.

On the crafting front I have been making shaggy quilts ...3 of them ....but no photos yet I still have to do the snipping on mine and the other 2 are for my daughters and they have to do their own snipping... that was the deal.... a good one I think.

Woohooooo..... doing a Happy dance

Very bravely and with a bit of a push from friends I entered my "Vintage Valentine" quilt in the Mt. Gravatt Show here in Brisbane so my daughter .... Heather and I went this afternoon to see how it went and what a lovely surprise to see I got a first in the quilt section so of course Heather insisted on taking a piccie with me next to the quilt and as you can see I tried hard not to be in the front, I received a great voucher of $50 to spend in a craft shop in Capalaba called "Pleasuresew" what a prize for a crafter, I don't think I will struggle to spend it thats for sure.

Friends in Stitching swap

I'm a member of an online group "Friends in Stitching" and we had a Christmas in July Tree Ornie swap, it was great fun as usual. I made the above tree ornie for my partner Peg, it was a pattern from a Country Threads magazine.

Cathy made me this great basket with heaps of lovely stitching on it... 2 pieces of fabric and Dove choccies (not in the piccie as you can see) as we all opened our gifts in our chatroom I was very hungry so of course they are all gone... yummo.... much laughing and chatter as usual, it was so much fun.

Thanks for a great swap girls.

New quilt

Tereasa was changing her shop around as you can see but I had to take a piccie of my quilt as I didn't get one at home, its just on display for a little while.

Its been a very slow journey but I'm happy to say that its finished. I bought this pattern at "The Quilters Angel" and its called "Gather Your Dreams" so I guess the title says it all really.... gathering , gathering and more gathering then I began to see it in my dreams as well so it is aptly titled. I purchased all the fabric from my friend Tereasa's shop and I just love the way it has turned out.

Finished at last

First picture isn't too good but you get the general idea of it.

This is a Bronwyn Hayes pattern called "Friends for Tea" I have been doing the sticheries on and off between other projects. This is one of the patterns that was designed for "The Stitchers Dream Day Out" at Highfields in QLD a couple of years ago so its nice to have another project done.

Much giggling... little stitching.

June is stitching with a couple of the ladies Tereasa B and Teresa C.

I wanted to take a piccie but the 3 of them got the giggles and so did I, hence the blurry photo.
I've had a lovely time with my g/daughter June over the school holidays, she has joined me at my craft days and has enjoyed herself which has been great, she is making a cushion to put on her bed and is doing a terrific job, I will post a piccie of it when she is finished but the embroidery needs to be done first, hopefully that will be completed at craft on Tuesday. We did a lot of giggling and enjoyed a lovely lunch as well.

A great little pattern

I was cleaning the house the other day as one does and thought I would take a piccie of these dolls, I made them a long time ago .... pre blogging .... they were terrific to make so I'm really giving my friend Tereasa a little plug for her pattern..... "Gerty Does Dress-Ups" by Raggedy Station so heres hoping she might get the designing bug back.

Another cute sample....

Just adding these piccies a close up of the flower and the "Sweetheart Rose Maker" that I used to decorate this bag.

Here is another sample I've made for Tereasa's shop "Homespun and Beautiful" in the Bake Shop box are 2 rolls of very pretty fabric by Moda and a great little pattern for the bag, the 2 rolls are different patterns and colours so you can make one for yourself and another for a special gift.

Table Runner Swap

I'm very lucky to be a member of a group of ladies online and we are known as "Friends in Stitching" , we had a tablerunner/topper swap and this is the runner I made for Cathy, it was fun to make this for her as they aren't colours that I ever use but I must say I was very pleased with end result and hope that Cathy likes it as well.

My other partner was Leanne and she made me this lovely christmas runner, I love christmas decorations and the one thing I haven't got is a tablerunner so it was great to recieve this from her. We opened our gifts in our chatroom last friday night and it was as usual a fun time.

Thanks ladies for the great swap.

Oh dear......problems

Well what problems I have had posting these photos, don't know why they only have red x's in my earlier post, I tried to delete them from the post below but just couldn't do it so here they are again. You will have to read the earlier post for details of these piccies.

A great weekend with June

This is my project for the weekend with June, I made this bag to match my "Punchneedle Tool Holder" ( made earlier) it will carry my frame, patterns, threads and any other goodies I need for these projects and will keep everything tidy.

The weekend before last I had a great time with my granddaughter June, she is 11yrs old, we decided to have a crafty time together. Firstly on the Saturday we went to our local craft shop... Homespun and Beautiful..... to buy a pattern and fabric to make a bag for her and I also had bought fabric to make one for myself, June chose the pattern and fabric for herself as you can see in the piccie below. We also had lunch together in the cafe and then off we went home to sew up a storm.

Here she is busy... busy.... busy.

June finished her bag and was able to take it home at the end of the weekend with a big smile on her face and yes she did make it all herself ( I only helped her with the cutting) I'm very proud of her efforts, the pattern has a small doll brooch on it but she didn't want that on the bag. We had great fun and it was nice to enjoy this together.

Show and Tell

This is the second "Gift of the Month" from "Faeries in My Garden" I must get a move on or I'll be behind with these projects and I really would like to keep up so I don't end up with any UFO's.

This is the bag I sent to Stella in the "Snickerdoodles Dreams" bag swap, its a "Material Possessions" pattern called "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend" its a great bag to make so I must really make one for myself soon.

I seem to be having trouble with uploading piccies tonight so I will try again tomorrow as I have a few more things to show.

How lucky am I ??????

I have just received a beautiful bag that was sent to me by Deb from NZ and I can now show the piccie of it, we were in a bag swap in Snickerdoodle Dreams, swaps are always a great way to meet new friends. As you can see the bag Deb made for me is just beautiful and there was a little surprise in the parcel.... 6 place card holders, very cute, thanks very much Deb. I will post a piccie of the bag I made for my partner but I'll have to wait until she lets me know she has opened it first.

I've also finished my Snickerdoodles Bag Swap pressie but of course can't show a piccie of that yet so as soon as my partner gets it I will post a piccie, I've received my bag and its just great but not ready to show you all at the moment.

Well would you believe this..... we bought a plane..... I can't even believe it myself.... we have to wait for a couple of weeks for delivery as instruments have to be fitted first but this is it, cute isn't she..... no not me, the plane... silly. Hopefully I will have more news soon.
