A small finish.....

When Sandi went on her NZ holiday she gave me a cute souvenir tea towel ....

So I decided to make this little trio with it, this way I have it as a keepsake as well as being useful......

I bought this bag kit while on retreat in July at Glenrose Patchwork.....

So happy with it..... fiddly but worth the effort....

It has taken me far tooooo long to make this bag, I changed my mind about the main bag fabric that I had bought but couldn't quite find anything else so after much pondering just went ahead with the original fabric and now I'm very pleased...... surprise surprise......

We had a busy day on Thursday..... 

Doctor's appointments, shopping and lunch.....

I decided to buy myself a little gift.....

out with the old and in with the new, it has little Swarovski crystals where the numbers should be .....

adds a lovely sparkle to the time.....

When we arrived home there was a parcel waiting for me....

I  was a bit late getting last years holiday posts up to date but I'm back on track now.....

It is so nice to sit and have a read with a cuppa....

Pretty flowers make a big difference to the day.......

especially this day..... 8th June.....

Well I have decided to get on with this quilt..... 

I am machine blanket stitching (wash your mouth out with soap Helen) this one which is soooo unlike me but I just want to get it done and out of the way.....

OMG I was even sewing over a bit of dust.... 

that's how long it has been waiting.....

how terrible is that ?

A Splendid Mistake becomes a comfy cushion.....

this was one of the blocks from the Splendid Sampler quilt, I made a mistake in the printing so the block was tooooo small so had to remake it......

Sunday Stitchers.... an outing and a finish

These are the April Birthday girls enjoying opening their gifts last Sunday.....

I had show and tell but I'm the only person that doesn't have a photo.....

We did have a great day.....

On Monday I had a lovely day with Heather.....

morning tea first of course then we did a little retail therapy and had lunch.....

I also had another little finish on Tuesday......

A couple of finishes and Easter......

It is so nice to have a couple of small finishes......

the large quilts take soooo long to make and seem never ending so a small projects will be the go for a while.....

Chooky was visiting Brisbane so naturally a get together was the go.....

It was also great to see so many blog girls as well......

 we were a little bit noisy or should that be..... very very loud.....lol

Sunday was our usual Stitchers group and of course more chatter and laughing.....

So very relaxing watching the boats go by and hearing about her trip to Japan to see Corinne....

Tuesday was of course our normal stitching day and I was working on this pin cushion.....

or should I say growling at it really....

dam fiddly little thing, just as well I was with the girls who were making me laugh....

Our gorgeous Sandi was on holiday in New Zealand and we can't wait for her to come back to us.

This is called"Dragonfly Resting " by Helen Dafter.

It is now sitting with my special little bits and pieces on Mum's old china cabinet.
