Wow..... what can I say.........

I am lost for words.......
and that doesn't happen often I can tell you.....
then again you probably know that already.....

Our "Friends in Stitching" group enjoyed another Christmas swap

My Christmas day gift is amazing......
Teresa was giving to me and I had no idea that she was my partner.....
 sneaky little devil.
I have been going to buy and make  this Tree skirt for sometime now but just didn't get around to it.....

and here it is......

I couldn't get it under the tree properly but you get the idea I'm sure.
There were chocolates but they didn't make the photo.....
5 gifts inside this lovely stocking

A close up of the main part and as you can see there is a huge amount of work in this.

I love .....love....... love it and love you too.
Thank you sooooo much Teresa

I was giving to Jo.....
Earlier in the year I made Jo a block holder in another swap so this time I made matching goodies.

A Tool Tidy and a Goody Goody Binding Kit

I also added a couple of extras.....

We had to make a stocking and inside put 5 advent gifts.

Fat 1/4 Christmas fabric
Tree ornament
Sewing notion
Treat.... I put in a gingerbread man biscuit
Christmas button

I hope Jo enjoys what have made for her.
I had so much fun making and receiving these gifts

More news to come....

Last Tuesday get together for 2015

Well it was the last Tuesday Girls get together for 2015.....

it was a quiet affair .... except for the laughing of course
Teresa had this beautiful Christmas Quilt for show and tell.

It looks fantastic and she was so pleased with the quilting  from Sarah too.

We did have a little naughty time....
it was very hot so we enjoyed our craft in the Grannie flat that Corinne uses but she is in Japan for Christmas this year so we found her Advent calender in the fridge so I sent her this photo.....

very big mice trying to eat her chocolates...... hehehehehe

That was as naughty as it got this time.....
I think we are all tired from another great year together...... full of terrific outings.

We are never too big to see Santa....

Friends in Stitching gifts.... the Festival of Helen continues.....

Our online group "Friends in Stitching" have given me a lovely parcel for my Birthday.

Cathy made the gifts on behalf of the group and what a great job she did.
A very cute scissor fob on these tiny scissors, a binding clip pillow and a little hexie bag pattern.
The chocolate made the photo which is very unusual....lol

Now this brings me to the mug......

it really gave me a good giggle and I'm fine to be 70 now as apparently I'm

 "a real class act"

  Thanks so much FIS girls....
I just love all my gifts and wonderful birthday wishes.

Cathy also made me 2 teapot blocks for my quilt.....
You are right Cathy every teapot needs a cup and saucer.
Love them..... Thank you.

While visiting my friend Tereasa Barclay the other day she also gave me a very cute teapot block...

Thanks so much Tereasa....love it.

This birthday is one I really didn't want to have but we don't get a say in it really.
It has turned out to be really great with so many lovely birthday wishes from friends and family.

It has been a huge week and as Sandi calls it.....
the "Festival of Helen " week

High Tea Monday with my daughter Heather
High Tea Tuesday with the mad Tuesday girls
Wednesday Dinn with the Family
Thursday is a rest day....

Off tomorrow for another High Tea, this time at Queensland Parliament House.....

How la-di-da is that ?

But then as you know "I'm a real class act" ... it says so on the mug.....

Well I'm off now to have that rest but I will be back to show more photos of outings and gifts received.

So toodles for now.

FIS Birthday

"Friends in Stitching" our online group of ladies celebrated Sue's birthday and it was turn to send her pressie.

Our theme this year is to make a Scissor Fob and put together a small bundle of sewing notions.
I really enjoyed making this fob for Sue..... lots of bullion roses.

Naturally if you have a fob you need scissors to put it on and these came with a thimble, needles and tape measure but you also need an unpicker,  threads and choccies.

I hope that Sue enjoyed her day.

Keeping up with my posts

This pin cushion I made was part of our Friends in Stitching online groups Christmas pressie swap.

It came as a  little kit and we had to make it before March this year..... I think it was then lol...
so I'm very early ..... lucky me.

Exciting mail for me on Tuesday..... my Blog Book arrived and just look at the great photo on the cover....

love these naughty bunch of girls.

More progress on our ornies for the Christmas wreath.

2 pretty little parcels.

I won't take your spot Cathy as " Selfie Queen" honestly.

Now I know you all must be wondering why I  would put a photo up of this
but I bought a new dress today and its the only dress I own and I don't like the colour orange or crocheted clothes so its all a bit different for me. The little jacket I'm wearing was given to me by Sandi, now I'm sure she said that it belonged to her Grandma and Sandi didn't want it ....yep you guessed it ..... it fitted me, aren't I lucky..... its crocheted and very old.

I really like this dress obviously I guess otherwise I would have left it in the shop..... lol
