Parliament House High Tea...... Friday 11th
The day didn't start very well really.... big storm the day before, no electricity for 24 hours so I had to go to Sandi's house for a shower, couldn't go to parliament house all stinky....
it's great to have friends so close.
It turned out to be a super wonderful day spent with amazing ladies......
even being 70 didn't seem so bad after all.
A fabulous setting for High Tea in this building.
We enjoyed our High Tea in the
"Strangers Dining Room"
Stranger is my maiden name and we sat at table 9 which is my birthday date......
how spooky is that.....
Great music to set the scene....
A terrific surprise to have "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate on the plate....
Champagne of course

We also had a tour of the old building and photos were a no no unfortunately.......
So much to see.... Chandeliers ...staircases and gorgeous old furniture....
the old library with a Christmas display was amazing and to sit in the place of power was just great, of course Sandi had to sit in the Speaker's Chair......
What a fabulous bunch of girls to enjoy my special Birthday with.
We were all so posh and well behaved..... even me.....
Thank you girls for making my day so wonderful.....
I felt very special and turning 70 ended up being lots of fun...
I might turn 70 again next year ...... watch out.....
Here we are home again.....
I can't say enough about you girls really..... or could I hmmmmm.....
