Random stuff....

  I was soooo excited to get one of these Oliso irons.....

BUT .....21 months later I'm not soooo happy.....

big waste of money, it will be going in the bin.......

Very sad......

Happy face now......

this is a  $35 Kambrook iron and it works like a charm.....

how many irons could I have bought with the money I spent on the stupid Oliso iron.....

Oh welllll ....  enough whinging.....

My slippers have found a new home with Liz.....

What a day .... fun fun fun......

Tuesday was as usual a great fun day......

I thought I would make the girls hot scones for morning tea with strawberry jam and cream of course.

Sandi had to pop off for an appointment which left just me and Teresa so that became scone making time.....

Teresa had soooo much fun, she has never made scones before....

here she is ....
 up to her elbows in dough.....giggling her head off......

I did lend a hand.....

so she took him some morning tea....

We did  have so much fun.... giggling till it hurts.....

Sunday Stitchers

Our Sunday Stitchers group had another fun day even though some of the girls were missing due to the flu..... I hope they are all on the mend now.

It was great to join the girls today, 

they are so uplifting and as usual we laughed and chatted a lot.....

We went to a lovely cafe near Nor's home for morning tea.....

It is a quilt I have wanted to do for a long time but just never got around to it so the girls have decided to join me with this project.

Our lovely Sandi kicked us off by making us all this block.....

I have been doing a bit of stalking today..... blog stalking that is.....

looking for inspiration and motivation.....

I have found some lovely blogs to help with my problem so thank you blogland.....

I felt soooo bored and a bit flat today, no reason just did...... lol

So I went and bought a solar light for the garden.....

pretty happy with it tooooo.

I have been doing a little sewing, not a lot but some is better than none I guess....

Plodding on with "Fleur" slowly but surely.....

A lovely memory of my Mum .....

Mum didn't like animals so when Pippa jumped on her lap and started to pat her it was a huge shock to us...... such a giggle.....

it was just after Mum's  happy hour so that could be the reason lol....

it just doesn't seem like 7 years since Mum left me.....

Well I'm off now to find a few more blogs to browse.....

Tuesday naughtiness.....

We were supposed to be stitching.......

but chatting and giggling was all we came up with.....

so Sandi, Teresa and me decided to go out for coffee, cake and maybe even lunch....

So back to Sandi's for a bit of stitching...... or not

I blanket stitched 1 tiny bird.....

Sandi did 1 stitch.....

Teresa did open the zip on her stitching bag but shut it again.....

you had to be quick or we would have missed it......

Nor wasn't with us today......

We were soooo naughty but who cares..... 

we had fun ......

It has taken me far tooooo long to make this bag, I changed my mind about the main bag fabric that I had bought but couldn't quite find anything else so after much pondering just went ahead with the original fabric and now I'm very pleased...... surprise surprise......
