First Sunday Stitches for 2016

We enjoyed our first day back with the Sunday Stitches group today.....

It's great to get back into the swing of things and catch up with all the girls and their stitching.

Good girls..... busy busy busy...

I completely forgot to take a photo of our yummie table of food...

This was my contribution....

Mini muffins.... zucchini, carrot and corn.

We also had show and tell....

A Tuesday treat and the process begins.....

What a lovely treat we had last Tuesday visiting Maree and a few other girls at her home for our stitching day.

Gosh she spoils us ....so much so that we don't want to go home......

We did have a great lunch but of course I only took a photo of the dessert.....

Yes we did stitch.....

Thinking and another block

70th Birthday blocks....

Thought I would have a look at the Teapot blocks and maybe make some sort of plan.....

I know there are a few more to come but it's nice to see them up on the design wall.

So many wonderful ladies have made these for me and signed them on the front so I won't ever forget who you are..... thanks so much to you all.

I'm going to use these fabrics for my Teapot quilt, they were to be used for another quilt which I have now taken off my "to do list" owing to a lack of interest on my part.

I think they will be perfect for this project.

The Mystery is over

Yes the mystery is over..... yay

It's a wall hanging for my loo......

how exciting is that ?????

I'm so pleased with it too..... 

I made a Hexie Magic quilt from this range last year and I'm now making use of all the left over pieces..... such a good feeling when this happens. I even made a swap gift from it too.

I do love this fabric, one of my favourites.

Back soon....

Feeling surprised !!!!!

OMG I can't believe it.......

I am feeling sooooo inspired and motivated .... 

I even cleaned the house and have a new project started......

I only hope it continues but I do feel very positive for a good year ahead.

I think we might start with planning a small holiday so I think Gav is in for a bit of a chat this afternoon.....mmmm maybe Ballarat, I have been wanting to go there for a while now.

I'm making this one up so no pattern to show.

More finishes.....

Another Studio Mio bag.... not sure what I will use it for yet.

A Petite Pop-Out Purse.....

I also made a new cover for "Pippa's " bed so her Christmas cover can now be washed and put away with all the Decorations.

As you can see she wasn't impressed when I wanted to take a photo.......

it's a wonder she didn't tell me to sit on the bed but she kept laying on it with her back to me.....

 Now she is happy  but you can't see the cute puppies on the fabric this way....

I don't think she cares really ...... lol

"No more Christmas Decorations"

That's what I was saying the other day when I put the decorations away but.......

the Chemist had all Christmas goodies at 40% off so what was I to do......

well buy of course.... now that's it.....no more......

It does look very cute when it lights up though .....

Firsts !!!!!!

First Tuesday get together for 2016 with the girls and nothing new there really I guess....

laughing eating and not a lot of sewing........

it was soooo good.

Foolishly I don't have any photos but that's nothing new either.....so slack of me.

My first project for this year as well......

A Studio Mio kit  "Out and About Bag" given to me for my birthday in 2014  I think....

I  did look at it a longggggg time ago but was a bit put off as it was all glued together and I wasn't very keen on that idea, even the metal purse frame was glued on.

Sandi's hubby drilled holes across the frame for me and once again it sat there but this year I'm on a mission to make kits that I have on the waiting list, hidden in the cupboard hoping the fairies might do for me.

So here it is all done and dusted......

but all sewn not glued.

I just love it and wish now that I had made it ages ago.

So expect to see lots more small projects here soon.

In our family Secret Santa giving (in an earlier post)  I gave to June.......

the perfect gift for a 17 year old a selfie stick and she is making the most if it too.
