Tuesday's fun and games.......and other bits

Our Tuesday get together was sooooo much fun last week......
we had a visitor, Sandi's grandsons and her daughter Elle .......

Hudson with his new baby brother and his Mum.

Hudson looks so innocent in this photo but looks can be deceiving, he led me astray....

Boy we had fun.... Huddie and me, shooting each other and anyone who got in our way....
running around Sandi's house.... I had a ball.

I might give up stitching with the girls and just join Hudson, he is heaps more fun.

Lunch was great today, we all brought a plate with something yummie to eat.

I did stitch...... not much though.
I had to finish my ornie today...... so naughty .

On Monday Norreen and Sandi joined me for a little shopping....
no not craft things but for clothes, so sick of my wardrobe but alas I only bought 1 top.

Morning tea of course.

Shopping and then lunch.

Thanks for coming with me girls..... another fun outing.

Thursday Mel (daughter-in-law) came for her first lesson in quilting....
naturally cutting and sewing straight were first on the list.
She is very keen and has fabric for her first quilt all ready but something small to begin with....

Not sure what it will be yet.....
possibly a table runner or a doll quilt for her g/daughter Jordan.

Mel won't have any trouble I'm sure as she is an excellent student and is very fussy to get it just right.

Now for a catch up on my sewing......

More progress on my felt train.

Why am I always catching up ??????

The title of this post says it all really....... I mean to keep up with posting and then ....

all of a sudden I'm behind..... oh well.

June 13th saw Sandi, Norreen and me out and about, this time we went to the
Redlands Quilt Extravaganza. and who did we meet there ......

why Joy of course...... thanks for the chat Joy.

and  few Sunday Stitchers too.....
from the left Susan, Inca, Maureen, Cheryl, me and Norreen
Sandi was the photographer.
Lunch  of course.

3 sweet.... innocent girls.....

First things first ...... coffee and scones.

Here a few quilts that took my eye.

This one is my favourite.... so realistic.

Last Saturday Sewer's Delight had a bigggg sale so Sandi and I went along to see if we needed anything...... yeah right.... as if ....
but I'm so pleased we did as you always meet someone you know and it happened to be Susan so after a little retail therapy of which I didn't buy anything for myself.... so strong I must say.... I did meet Mel (daughter-in -law) and her Mum there, it's Mel's Birthday this week so she chose fabric for her first quilt as my gift to her.... she has asked me to teach her to sew and everyone knows that you start on something simple.... like a quilt..... lol.....
I'm sure we will have fun together, I also gave her a quick unpick just in case.
So naturally ........
an outing is never complete without something special.....

Rocky road Coffee......

My first Christmas ornie is finished.......
he is such a cute fellow.

 Second ornie started.

I have made good progress with my Christmas Train wall hanging....
I'm really enjoying doing these felt projects.

First block of " A Little Bit Country" by Libby Richardson
I'm doing this quilt with Norreen and we are both enjoying the journey.

Block 2

On Tuesday Sandi gave us all a little needle case and I was very happy to get this one....
mind you there was a lot of hinting going on when she made lots of them a while ago....

Thank you Sandi ...... I love it.
