A happy but sad goodbye....... a little splendid......

Our beautiful Corinne (g/daugther) who has been living with us for the past 3 1/2 years is now on a wonderful adventure..... she has moved to Japan to live and work for 18 months or so.
I will miss her sooooo much but I am excited for her as well.
It is so easy to keep in touch these days even though she is so far away and I know that there might be a little holiday to visit her in the new year......

Miss you heaps.....
gosh she has only been away a little over a week.....
silly aren't I ?

Still trying to get caught up with my blogging.....

Late posting as usual...... this was the 16th of April.

Yes these piccies can only mean one thing........

Norreen's  Birthday (a Tuesday girl)

so of course we celebrated with cake
they were very yummie too.

Pressie opening

Come on Norreen blow harder......

Not another one of those tags...... you must be a truly really friend now.

Another terrific day with the girls.

I do have some craft to show

"Fernhill" BOM

Slow going but I am getting there.

We had our tickets for a great afternoon of entertainment for last Sunday at the QPAC theatre to see Operamania but alas it wasn't to be, Sunday morning I woke and couldn't get out of bed...... back pain so bad, couldn't sit upright so Corinne and Kenny are smiling with our tickets in their hands.

They did enjoy the show so that was good , they haven't been to an opera before so it was something different for them.

A newsy post.

'FRIENDS' parcel is on its way to Yana my partner  so get it to her safely Mr. Postie, this is a terrific swap organised by Khris from Sew Prim Khris.

Another lovely Annie Smith " Country Keepsakes"  doll called Dream Angel, isn't she the cutest thing ?
Such fun to make, we have a small group on Saturdays at Tereasa's  shop "Homespun and Beautiful" a little dolly club I guess you could say .... we will have another doll finished next week and she is also a cutie.
                                               Ain't she sweet.....

Of course while I was at the shop I had to buy these wonderful fabrics ready for next years quilt, which we may be doing in the "Stitch-a-long" with Chookyblue.

Also the 5th block of  the "Breast of Friends" quilt bites the dust, lots more to go but it will be done.

Last but not least is my lovely g/daughter Corinne with her new (secondhand) car, here she is checking the oil and water..... good girl.
She is wearing the biggest grin.... so happy she now has her wheels.

This weekend she came for a visit and was showing off the great wax and polish job she as done on the car, it did look so shiny....... well done kiddo.
