Tuesday girls and other stuff......

Another great day with the Tuesday girls...

unfortunately Nor was busy moving house and couldn't join us this time.

I finished the hand stitching on this project today.

I love this mini wall hanging.....

A great Sally Giblin pattern called....

It looks terrific hanging in my sewing room.

Corinne gave me a voucher at Peter's of Kensington  for my birthday last December.....

it took me soooo long to decide what I would like to buy.....

I chose these gorgeous Teaspoons and Cake Forks with Cake Slice....
Can't wait to use them....

Last Monday we went to  our favourite little cafe for morning tea.....

Gav loves the cheesecake and yep so do  I .......

Another great Tuesday

Well we were off on another outing..... 

this time going to Toowoomba to pick up my quilt that the lovely  Fiona 

had quilted for me....

Of course we met her at a coffee shop, Park house Cafe....

A lovely place to enjoy a get together.....

Sadly Sandi wasn't with us this time....

Good heavens.....no food photos, what were we thinking.....

We seem to be deep in discussion here.....

Fiona's free motion quilting is just wonderful  and I'm so pleased with my quilt....

A little finish and gifts for Fiona.....

Fiona gave us a few directions to a shopping centre and of course a quilt shop.....

so off we went.....

great goodies to buy and really lovely ladies to help us.....

So while the ladies were making up a kit for Norreen we went to a terrific little cafe just up the road called  "Extraordinary Joe".......

We certainly had a lovely day and it was just great to meet up with Fiona.....

Last Saturday we had morning tea with Heather, Sylvio and June .....

at the Lighthouse Cafe Cleveland.....the view from the veranda

very relaxing.....

This tart was soooo good.....

Gav couldn't resist the ice cream bar on the way out.....

Tuesday fun

We had another fun day together on Tuesday......

Nor and Sandi had show and tell....

Nor's great Christmas table runner....

Sandi made this terrific wall hanging....

Teresa was in Adelaide at the Let's Get Stitched retreat last weekend and 

we were such lucky girls to get these gifts....

love the little white hand painted wooden egg, so cute.

We will see how long the lollies last and a 

great little pin cushion as well.....

I went outside to help Nor with something and these two got up to no good with my Splendid Sampler quilt.....

Can't leave them on their own for a minute.....

What a journey this has been.....

My Splendid Sampler...

I wasn't going to do this quilt but after a little bit of coaxing from the girls at retreat February last year we all started it together......

I decided that I would only use fabric from my stash except for the sashing, binding and wadding....

unfortunately it hasn't made much of a dent in the fabric stash really.....

the backing is also from my stash so it is a bit odd I guess.....

Well I'm soooo happy to say that I have finished mine.....

 I only did 81 of the 100 blocks as there were some that I wasn't so keen on and it is big enough for me as well.....

So drum roll please....

Ta.... daaaaaa

The lighting isn't very good in my bedroom but it does look very nice on the bed....

Guess who likes to get in on the act ?

Our Teresa had a birthday last week so of course we needed to celebrate with her.....

Then off to the Birthday girls choice of cafe for lunch.....

it was a fantastic choice toooooo

It was so good ..... couldn't fit in desert .... bummer

We had such a great fun time .......
