Another lovely day

Yes it was Sunday Stitchers again today and as usual it was a great day with lovely ladies.

I was working on the Splendid Sampler block but didn't get a lot done.....

could it be because I chat tooooo much do you think ?

Tuesday again

I love Tuesdays...... Why you ask ?

fun with the girls of course.....

It was at my place this week so I even baked a cake.....

this is the centre piece for Miss Matty's Parlour quilt.....

I was being very very good ....

Teresa was busily sewing the binding on her quilt......

It is just so wonderful and huge...... well done Teresa

A little finish for me....

"Pippa" hasn't been a very happy girl lately.....

she let me know in no uncertain terms that her bed needed a warmer cover....

so I made this Minkie cover for it and she is a lot happier now.

Spoilt rotten this girl.

I have been preparing more hexies for Miss Matty's Parlour quilt....

3 plain hexies.... boy these ones are easy....

24 pieced hexies now ready to be stitched.....

Our Grandson Jake just bought his first car..... 

congratulations lovely boy.

Stitching at Nor's

I had the best day stitching at Nor's home on Tuesday....

it was just so relaxing and I was sorry the day had to end.

It was a little bit chilly but we were tucked away just outside the Man Cave....

We had a lovely break from stitching and walked around Nor's property....

this time I did take photos....

We took a leisurely walk down to the letterbox and it is a very long drive ......

Nor has been giving Alf a bit of a hand in the garden.....

Hmmmm not much of a help really....lol

Another swap bites the dust......

yes it was from our "No Fuss Swappers" blog.....

the theme this time was...."Kitchen Kapers".....

the items for this were

 tea towel

 spatula

cookie cutter

 cookie

and recipe card with one of your own favourite recipe on it.

I was very lucky to have Kaye  sending to me.....

However did she know that the main colour in my kitchen was green....

clever girl I think.

Isn't the rabbit cookie cutter cute.... bit hard to see there really but take if from me he is cute.

I will have to give this recipe a go soon.

How funny is that.... I also sent a rabbit cookie cutter in my parcel...

My recipe was one given to me by a lovely lady that I worked with when I was only 17 years old,

it's called " Lazy Man's cake" it became a family favourite here in my house, especially with my children.

This lovely lady Joyce sadly passed away just a couple of months ago  at 92years young.....

It was a fun swap and a  very very simple no stress swap.

I had some happy mail this week....

I love small projects and intend doing more of them this year.....

Our online Friends in Stitching group enjoyed another swap.....

this time the theme was a Peg Bag.....

The lovely De was sending to me....

and I was very lucky to receive these great gifts.....

 The Peg's are soooo cute.....

I did receive my pressie early on our Sunday Stitchers get together....

it was great to have De give it to me in person....

it was great to be able to give her the gift in person as well.

I just added a couple of little extras....

I'm so pleased that Teresa loved her gifts....

Last Friday we ... the Tuesday girls..... went to visit the dark side.... Scrapbooking Show....

Of course we had a great time .....

A few little purchases..... 

or should I say " more stuff in the cupboard"......

I did make a mistake in the way I put it together but I'm leaving it that way as I like it better now.
