Trying hard to catch up on my blogging......

I would love to call this a finish but of course I can't......
it's just a top but it will be pinned very soon for quilting.

Its called "A Trick of Cards" and the fabric has been sitting around for quite a while waiting for someone to pay attention to it.

It's for Gav's chair as the one he has is showing its age.

Love Among the Roses....

"Love Among the Roses" pattern by Faeries in My Garden
I've had this kit for a quite a while, I wanted to make it in memory of my Mum.
There was no better time than Mother's Day to start.
Mum loved roses so I think the name of this quilt was perfect.

First block done.

Such a pretty quilt.

Mother's Day

We spent a lovely morning at the Birchgrove Nursery Cafe for Mum's Day this year.....

Don't you love Heather's beautiful plant that Corinne bought for her ?

June.... me.... Heather and Corinne.

Heather gave me this little cutlery set and it looks good with my crockery.

Cake of course.....
this is a Spicy Fig Cheesecake and it's sooooo yummie....

Thanks for a great Mum's morning.

On the sewing front I have nearly finished the centre block of
"A Little Bit Country" by Libby Richardson.

A new project begins......
"Love Among the Roses" by Faeries in My Garden.....
I'm making this one in Memory of my Mum, she loved roses so much and I think the name of the quilt says it all for me.

First block.

Embroidery is really my first love...... it's a very relaxing project.

I have really enjoyed making it so much so that I bought another project or 2.....

I will start the ornies this coming Tuesday.

I also made this great project..... Gail Pan's "Vintage Sewing Collage"

Here is a better photo of the table runner I made for Lynda in our Sunday Stitchers Easter swap.
