Oh what a feeling !!!!!

it is to finish a project that has been taking wayyyy to long..... it still needs to be sent to the quilter, hopefully soon....

 "Fleur " quilt top.......

First things first though......

While taking a photo I thought something seemed a bit odd so took another photo hoping it was just my photography.......

Then the " OMG " hit me......

2 blocks in the wrong place.....I couldn't believe my eyes....nearly cried....how could I be soooooo stupid.....

So back to the sewing room with unpicker in hand I got to work.......

Yahoo finally as it should be.....

I love this quilt and so pleased to have  the top completed.....

The following day I chose just to relax, maybe do a little stitching as well....

if I felt like it.....

Heather bought some rather delicious fruit scones and I made coffee, we settled back to enjoy a movie.....

When I looked around to see why it seemed so quiet and there they were.....

How relaxed are they ?

A lovely quiet day had by all......

Sunday Stitchers......

We have a roster for 3 girls to do morning tea each month.....

January was our month.... 

Nor, Sandi and me, we thought it would be fun to have a theme so it was.....

Australia Day.....

All things Aussie....

Vegemite and cheese pastry scrolls...

Aussie cheese with biccies....

Cheerios and tomato sauce....

Damper with corn relish dip....

Lamington sponge with jam/cream centre....

All on an Aussie flag tablecloth with matching serviettes......

Then on to our.....

UFO challenge photos for January.....

a great start for the new year.....

Windchimes quilt top......

Hope to get it to the quilter soon.....

Tuesday girls....Wednesday ?????

My goodness what is going on.......

Tuesday gitls on a Wednesday, whatever next....I'll never know what day it is at this rate......

Our first outing for  the New Year......

We must be out of practice as the first shop we went to....was shut....

not to be put off by that....

off to the next place and ....phew it was open....Bayside Stitchcraft.....

A couple of very small purchases for me, not even worth taking a photo......

Hunger was beginning to set in so off we went to a lovely little cafe at Victoria Point.....

Oh no, it was shut.....

Once again it takes a lot to put us off so on the road again......

Yes it is an odd food photo but I was so hungry I forgot to take it before I started....

it was yum......

Lunch done and dusted we set off for home.....

Hmmmmm maybe we need afternoon tea on the way.....

Yep we sure do.....

This cafe is in a nursery and is very relaxing here.....

What on earth are these 2 up to ?????

This little guy spent a lot of time under my chair......

It was soooo good to catch up with these girls.....

heaps of laughing and chatter of course.....

First FNWF for 2019

I started the night cutting and ironing on the  applique pieces for Simple Life.....

and also the circles.....

Then I got a bit sidetracked watching the Tennis.....surely I can find a way of doing the 2 together.....

So this is my pathetic bit of stitching....

I'm off now to check what the girls got up to....go here if you would  like to take a peak......

Nearly in a flap.....

I was thinking of starting the "Romancing the Road Trip" stitch-a-long stitcheries in tonights FNWF..... 

Well that sent me in a flap as I discovered that I didn't have enough suitable background fabric/vlisofix/whisper weft or threads....

OMG how on earth did this happen.......

So a rush to the shops which was a bit tricky as most are shut at the moment but I  was able to get everything I needed from East Coast Fabric....

and Spotlight.....

Phew that was close, I didn't want to get behind before I started.....

So stitchery traced ready to go....

"Windchime" BOM  progress....

The top is finished.....yayyyyy

Very happy with it as well.....

Can't wait for it to be quilted.....

UFO Challenge 2019......

Sunday stitchers have a UFO Challenge to help us all with our mojo, last year it was a great success.....

so after much pondering this years list is now ready.....
