Mel's Birthday gifts.....

Mel's Birthday......

I made these gifts for Mel (DIL) she loves monkeys so that was an easy choice for fabric.....

unfortunately she is spending a lot of time in hospital so I thought toiletry and laundry bags would be just the thing.....

Mel is not well at all as she has lung cancer so are thoughts and love are with her......

We also gave her bright pretty flowers to try to brighten her day.....

Tuesday stitching at Nor's.....

We had a lovely day at Nor's for our get together.....

it got a bit chilly so we ended up inside......

Banana bread for morning tea.....

Warwick retreat next week so hopefully lots to report....

We had a busy day on Thursday..... 

Doctor's appointments, shopping and lunch.....

I decided to buy myself a little gift.....

out with the old and in with the new, it has little Swarovski crystals where the numbers should be .....

adds a lovely sparkle to the time.....

When we arrived home there was a parcel waiting for me....

I  was a bit late getting last years holiday posts up to date but I'm back on track now.....

It is so nice to sit and have a read with a cuppa....

Tuesday girls out and about....

Well today we were off to the movies.......

 "The Pirates of the Caribbean "

I really enjoyed the movie...... fantastic.....

Naturally coffee and a bite to eat was next.....

 Nor and me..... we are the good sensible ones.....

I had a super day.......

Love these girls and the great times we have together.....

Pretty birthday flowers........

Pretty flowers make a big difference to the day.......

especially this day..... 8th June.....

Well I have decided to get on with this quilt..... 

I am machine blanket stitching (wash your mouth out with soap Helen) this one which is soooo unlike me but I just want to get it done and out of the way.....

OMG I was even sewing over a bit of dust.... 

that's how long it has been waiting.....

how terrible is that ?

A fun day......

This week we had  heaps of fun.....

Sandi had organised a fun scrap booking day for us, lots of giggling and being naughty.....

Our teacher...... Miss Sandi....

Sandi had put together quite a few little kits for us to make on the day.....

She had us working soooo hard that we forgot to have lunch......

so no photos of food this time.....
