Yummy

This is a very yummy fruit slice and I don't feel guilty about eating this one  I found the recipe in the diabetes magazine, my hubbie is a diabetic and its an easy recipe to make so that makes it even better.

Fruit Bars.

2 cups Puffed Rice
11/4 cups oats
30g sunflower seeds
40g sesame seeds
100g dried apricots
100g sultanas
60g rice flour
1/2 cup golden syrup
1/4 cup honey

Place puffed rice, oats, seeds, flour and fruit in a bowl and mix well.
Place the honey and syrup in a pan and heat gently until runny.
Stir through dry ingredients.
Press mix into a lined tin 20cmx20cm.
(Tip: this will be easier if your hands are wet)
Bake at 180c for 20 mins until brown.
Leave to cool in the tin.
Store in the fridge in an earthight container.
Makes 20.

They don't last long here, not very healthy if we eat them too fast though.

No other news or stitching going on at the moment maybe later I hope.

Sounds yum, especially the fruit part. Just one stupid question, is puffed rice the same as rice bubbles or is it in the health section where I never look ;)

Looks good but me and baking of any sort just doesn't go in the same sentence.
