Big changes can be good.....

I hope..... lol ….

Good bye to my Play house.....
which was our Grannie flat where my Mum lived for 10 years....
Lounge room....

Kitchen....

Dining room....

Main bedroom....

Second bedroom.....
Which I made into a second sewing room....

Why am showing these photos......
Well our son Rob and his partner Mel are moving in.....
I now have to put 2 sewing rooms in to one room.....
eeeeek…..

I can do this.....

After a lot of work and cupboard organising.....
Its done.....
yayyyyy
One sewing room like a normal person....

It is amazing what you can fit into one room really.....

Reason for the change.....
Mel has cancer and Rob is his her carer, Gav has Alzheimers so this will be a big help to me and Rob as times goes by.... respite for both of us....
So the big move begins....
Mel has a lot …… no that should be heaps of plants which will be nice for her here as her yard in their previous house was very tiny and we have 2 1/2 acres.....

I had to make room for Mum's china cabinet in our lounge room and found
 the perfect spot.....

Along with Rob and  Mel come 2 dogs.....
Fatty and Buster.....

I bought myself a new coffee machine which isn't really news worthy but I am having fun trying new flavours......

Caramel Creme Brulee is my fav at the moment......

Well that's it for now......

Happy stitching......

I do love a pincushion or 2 or 3

These gorgeous little Marg Low kits were given to me and Nor last Christmas from Sandi......
We had a lot of fun doing them by getting together for a stitching day using face time, lots of laughter trying to get Nor organised with her phone.....

I had another little kit I bought some time ago from a craft show so decided to get that done as well .... surprising how a get together stitching helps the mojo......

Sew Bird pincushion from the
 "Quilters Angel"

Happy mail helps brighten these isolation days....

Beautiful fabric I will be using for the back of my Postcards Quilt from "patchwork Plus"
Thanks Sarah....

My blog book arrived so I'll be spending a few hours going through that.....

Quatro progress.....

I have finished the Christmas jigsaw.....
A bit late for the Christmas season but very enjoyable....

More happy mail this time from "Glenrose Patchwork"
It was so good to get these with a quilting theme.....

"Bringing Home the Tree" BOM
also from Glenrose Patchwork.....

Block 1 & 2

I'm really enjoying this project, nice change to be working in wool applique....
Lots of online shopping going on here which is very naughty but what is a girl to do if you can't go out......

Well that's it for now....
Happy stitching....

Blog more often.... yeah right !

That was my intention......
so this will be a big catch up post or maybe several posts.....

I was thinking that 2020 had a nice ring to it but so far it's not going the way I had expected....

The country has experienced some horrific events for so many people.....
January shocking fires...
February terrible floods....
and of course drought has been a huge problem all across the land for a long long time so in the grand scheme of things my issues are very small.....

In January Gavan was diagnosed with Alzheimer/dementia adding to his other health problems.....
So things have changed here in a big way, less retreating and outings for me sadly but you just do what needs to be done......
At least he isn't stressed by it all.... Lol....

Small problems followed.....
Washing machine broke, after 26 years....
It certainly was a work horse over the years.....

Then the oven element broke.....
fortunately Rob easily replaced that part.....

Big Red ..... our old Falcon station wagon that Gav used to go remote control plane flying had a power steering leak but now fixed.....
Sadly he isn't going anymore so not such a big problem....
What is happening ????
Surely things will improve soon.....

But no .....

now the world is going through the coronavirus which is devastating for so many families....
Our Liz and her son Clayton have both lost their jobs.... fortunately the rest of the family have jobs which are either essential or can be done from home....
Fingers crossed everyone cones through it safely.....

Keep smiling and stay safe.....

Craft catch up.....

A little Easter Bunny....
Our Sunday Stitcher UFO group were challenged by Sandi to make one....
It was a fun little project.....

Finally finished the table topper I put together on retreat last year.....

A couple of stitcheries for my Postcards quilt....
They are all attached to the Whack and Stack Quilt top now, just waiting for the backing fabric to arrive to finish......

I guess the pandemic lock down is helping my sewing....

We have had a few birthdays....
Corinne and Gavan but no get togethers due to the virus.....
Also Sandi and Nor but we will have an outing when things get back to normal.....

Happy stitching e everyone.....
