My little challenge.

This is a project I have been doing for such a long time but I gave myself a small challenge to get it done and I'm now happy to say I've finished..... yahooooo
I painted the box quite a while ago ( couple of years) and all I needed to do was collect the baby memories together and give it to my daughter.... Elizabeth. In the yellow box is a collection of paintings... early school books... school reports and any special things I could find from Liz's childhood days and in the book like box are baby cards, baby book etc. My other daughter ... Heather .... has one and I still have to do one for my son.... Robert... but boys dont really care much about that kind of stuff so I have plenty of time to do that. Gosh I feel good about this, I'm going to visit Liz tomorrow, she will get a surprise as she has been waiting for so long.

Its called "Ric Rac and Blooms" from The Rivendale Collection by Sally Giblin, there are a few more patterns in this collection so looks like my "to do list" will be growing.
The cheeky girl hiding in the piccie is our little Jack Russell "Pippa" she's such a sticky beak always getting in on the act.

Best dressed Washing Machines

This one is Mum's (Dolly)

and this is mine.

This is what the best dressed washing machines are wearing this year..... lol..... one is mine and the other is my Mum's ( dolly). In 2006 I was in a friendship block swap, I was going to make a quilt with them but figured one could only have so many quilts and I didn't really need another so then decided to make them into covers for our washing machines instead and I must say that I'm very pleased I did, they look great and make the laundry a bit more cheery. I haven't decided yet on what I will use the other blocks ( 4 left ) for but will work that out later.

Another little project finished , I'm certainly on a roll. These cuties are a "Cat and the Fiddle" pattern , they were fun to make, never thought I would be doing prim stuff but I really like these.
PS.... Forgot to say that my little girls still need shoes but I'm having trouble finding just the right thing so will edit the piccie when I can get some.

My Beautiful Corinne

" Gee Nan...... just 1 piccie...."
Nannnnnn I said 1 piccie.......................

This is my g/daughter Corinne ready to go to her year 10 semi-formal and of course its absolutely necessary to see Nan before she goes. Wow this makes me feel old but its lovely to see her growing into a wonderful young lady although wearing a dress is not her favourite attire.

Stitchers Dream Day Out 2007

Tereasa (left) Joy ( behind her) and Noela ( hiding in ballons)

Its taken me a bit of time to get around to sharing the piccies of the great stitchers day we went to on 22nd September at Toowoomba, a slightly overcast day but everyone still had a terrific time. Natalie Bird, Leanne May, Rosalie Quinlan and Lynette Anderson certainly designed lovely projects for us and hopefully I will soon get 1 or 2 finished. Theres nothing more enjoyable than spending the day stitching with friends, having a great lunch without a care in the world.
