Churn Dash Quilt finishes.....

 

Why did I do 2 quilts with the same pattern.....

Well..... just because I could....

I joined Chooky and other ladies for a SAL with the churn dash design.....

These are for the Domestic Violence charity that we at Sunday Stitchers make.....

 Gosh time flies when life gets busy.....

Of course our new family member has/is taking so much of my time.....

We are struggling a little with the energy of this little girl.....

What have we done..... lol....

Gavan is on blood thinners so her sharp claws and teeth are causing a bit of a problem.....

When she is good then they enjoy a little nap together....

Right that is enough on the puppy overyload....

My sewing has been on hold, can't let her in my sewing room yet....

I did manage to do some of this cross stitch.....

Online shoppping is ceratinly something I can do but probably not  a good idea....

I did manage to track this fabric down from

I was so excited as it is an old Tula Pink range....

I need to add borders but very happy with the way it has come together....

2nd churn dash quilt lay out, as soon as I can get to the sewing room I will put this together.....

 What is better then a churn dash quilt I ask ????

Well maybe 2 churn dash quilts.....

Both of these quilts will be charity quilts when finished......

I will try to keep up with Chooky's SAL plan..... 

8 blocks were needed to be done by the end of June so this one is a little late.....

The other blocks are in a previous post....

I have a new toy ....

a Janome 9450 QP 

so these quilts will be the perfect way to get to know my new machine......

A few adjustments to the machine table are required before it can settle in properly but I can play until that happens.....waiting on a plastic template to arrive....

Well I must away now as more sewing is waiting....

 Chooky has started a Churn Dash SAL for bloggers.....

It wasn't hard to get caught up in the excitement of a SAL while zooming with all the lovely ladies at the Chookshed birthday party....

My finished project will be for charity, I don't need an excuse to start something new but it makes me feel better if it's for a good reason.....

Of course I dragged/coerced more girls to join in.....
