FNSI or EWSI

What a fun idea to spend the Easter break sewing with friends.....

Wendy was our host and what a great idea to stitch for the weekend.....

I did have a few interruptions but sewing took up most of my time.....

I started at this stage with some cross stitching.....

Over the weekend it ended up with quite a bit done....

On Friday we went to Heathers home to celebrate 2 birthdays....
Corinne's 30th and Gavan's 80th......
Their birthdays are only 2 days apart so lovely to enjoy them together....

Birthday post to follow soon....

Then back to sewing....

The following quilts are Domestic Violence charity quilts.....
Long story....
We received quite a lot of partly made quilts and fabric from a Gentleman after his wife...Barbara..... had passed away .....through a friend of Susan's so finishing a couple of them was my weekends sewing....

I made 8 of these blocks, all the others had been made now only needing another 8 and they were cut out and in zip lock bags waiting to be sewn together.....

Sorted the lay out of rows but I need to buy sashing fabric before I can continue.....

This is another top only needing a few pieces to add for the centre ....
fabric for borders were in the box ......

So I added the black sashing and made the borders......

so all put together now.....
I only added the green border on the weekend....

All finished today.... Wednesday.....

Oh goodness I nearly forgot to mention I also attended a Zoom get together with Chooky and other girls on Sunday morning which was fun ......

Funny when you look back that it doesn't seem to be very much done really.....
It did take me the full Easter break to do it though....
I'm off to check out what others did during this fun time together....
Thanks Wendy for organising such a great time....
Pop over here to see more terrific sewing projects.....

I think you did well - it also always takes a bit to get your head around picking up someone else's work. The birthday celebrations would have been fun, the cake looks delicious! Nice that you joined in with the Zoom chat - I was there first thing, but not for long.
