I had decided when I started this Splendid Sampler journey that I would use fabric from my stash only ( no buying)  but I'm not sure how it will all go together in the end.....

Lots of memories in the fabrics that I am using though.

I have been stitching more of  Miss Matty's Parlout hexies on a Tuesday....

my blogging is getting a little bit behind and these are  last Tuesdays effort.

I can't believe that I didn't take any photos today, we were at Nor's new house and enjoying a fantastic sunny day... perfect for photos in the lovely surroundings but unfortunately nothing to show..... sooooo slack.

The "Busting"

Are you ready for the "Big Busting" of the balloon ?

I waited for Tuesday so I could show the girls my pressie and I wanted them to enjoy the Busting with me......

Ready....

Set.....

Go.....

There were photos taken of the actual busting but the bang was soooo loud that the photos were all blurry.... the girls got a fright and couldn't keep the camera steady.....

Inside was a minky throw and lots of lollies and chocolates....

Of course you probably know that the silly photos are coming.....

I would hate to disappoint you....

so here they come....

The laughter just went on and on as you can imagine.....

It really was such a fun gift.....

Not a lot of stitching was done today.....

I did manage to get another Splendid Sampler block done on Monday....

What a lovely day !!!!!!

My Mother's Day began with a visit from Rob (son) with this fun pressie.....

Mel ( Rob's partner) wasn't able to come as she isn't very well at the moment.

Thanks for this great and fun gift.

I don't want to bust it open......

So off he went to enjoy model plane flying with his Dad....

I was just enjoying a quiet breaky when......

the police arrived...... lol.....

Heather was on duty and passing by our home so she popped  in .... 

to give me these beautiful roses....

she only stayed a minute and was coming back after her shift later in the day.

Next was my Liz and family......

with this flower pot and beautiful candles.........

Remembering my Mum, it just feels right to keep buying her a bunch of colour......

she loved flowers...

I didn't get any family photos which is very slack ....

it was great to have lunch with Liz.....Clayton.... Jake and Hayley (GF).... 

and Gavan of course....

we all enjoyed afternoon together.....

Heather... Sylvio...June and Corinne joined Dad and me for dinner....

Heather brought these wonderful goodies for afternoon tea for the Mum's....

yes we did let the others have some..... lol.....

it was such a full day but really wonderful......

They all got to see each other too....

I love spotty fabric and the braid is so nice.
The Kit Kat didn't last long as you can imagine....

My parcel went to Illene....

Not sure this worked really but being a round tin I decided to wrap it to look like a Christmas pudding.....seemed like a good idea at the time..... lol

It is quite surprising what one can get into a small tin.

I hope Illene liked what I put together for her.

June's excitement.....and a Birthday outing

A very pleased and happy girl....

June got her Drivers Licence so a celebratory cuppa was in order...

It was so good to be with her and see the big smile on her face when she came back from the test.

Congratulations ...... stay safe.

Sandy from our Tenpin bowling League had a big birthday so a few of us had a lovely morning tea together.

The big 70th  Birthday 29th April.....

I was in charge of the goodie bags.... lollies, games and .......

silly glasses of course ..... so much fun.

One should never give a man the camera so naturally it is blurry..... lol.....
