Well I'm on another mission.....
and preparation is the key....
These are my current projects I'm working on....
" Love Among the Roses"
"Miss Matty's Parlour" ( this one will be a slow ongoing project)
and "A Little Bit Country"
alas they are all large quilts.
So I have prepared some projects for those times when we all (hopefully you do too)
"I want to take my stitching with me but I haven't got anything ready"
well no excuses for me.....
2 Christmas projects, a mini quilt and a small framed wall hanging....
Now here is a rash statement.....
I want these done THIS year......
On Monday I'm off with the girls to Glenrose for our retreat and yes you guessed it....
more preparation done.....
quilt tops are cut and ready to go, gosh I hope I can get these done....
"Kabuki Magic" 115cm x 143cm using a panel so not a lot of work in that one, a little piecing to be done.
The other is from a Jelly Roll Book
"Hidden Stars" 49in x 63in.....
of course I will be taking hand work for those times when I just want to sit and chat.
I also have a couple of swap gifts to make but I'm feeling very positive about my sewing now....
I was a bit flat the other day but I said to myself.....
"suck it up princess and get going"
So that's what I'm off to do now.....

Hi Helen yes its a great idea to have projects ready just in case,i love the projects you are doing, have fun at your retreat my friend xx
Lots of beautiful projects to keep you busy, enjoy your retreat .
Preparation is the killer sometimes - and a retreat makes you "prepare" - hopefully it will be very productive for all.
