I have finally finished my 70th Birthday Teapot Quilt....
I firstly want to thank all of the great girls who came on my journey of the
"Festival of Helen"
and the girls who made such wonderful Teapot blocks .....
A huge Thank you to Sandi, Teresa and Norreen for organising everything.....
I had such a great time and have this terrific quilt full of fabulous memories.....
It makes me smile every time I look at it.
This photo doesn't do it justice really....
it's such a happy quilt.
Each block is different....
There are applique, embroidered, pieced, needle turned, ribbon embroidery....
raw edge applique and machine embroidered....
I hope I haven't forgotten anything.....
Each block with the makers name on it....
It's now hanging in my dining room.... pride of place.
I had a few lovely girls make an extra block so I have a couple on the back too.
I really wanted the girls to have a memento of the whole "Festival" as well
so I took them to Devon Pixies for a Devonshire Tea.....
I must say they do look happy to be there.
I also made them each a Teapot Needle case as a keepsake.... usable of course.....
I really love the friendship we have and I feel so lucky to have them in my life.
I felt like a celebrity as the girls got me to sign them......
Thanks again girls
and Thank you to everyone who made me a Teapot Block....
The quilt looks fantastic and will be such a great keepsake for me.
I LOVE IT and I feel so very special.
