The days were very hot but in the distance you can see snow on the mountains, such beautiful scenery.

"Cantabile" choir, gosh they look fabulous, we were so proud of them.

A fabulous evening meal with lovely people, then in the concert hall ( pictured below) for a night of terrific music and song.

This is a bolster cushion I made for my daughter ... Heather.... for her bed, its a "Rivendale Collection" pattern by Sally Giblin called "Friendship" love her designs and they are such good value and a pleasure to make.

Caught up with the Noah's Ark BOM by Lynette Anderson, don't want to get behind and miss all the fun.

Well here I am at last back to my blog but I haven't got piccies of my Austrian trip sorted yet but it won't be long and I will put a few piccies in here just to bore everyone.... not really just kidding.... I will only put in a few. I haven't done very much craft lately but I'm getting back into the swing of things now. I'm working on a shaggy quilt for my husbands Aunt and I should be able to post a piccie here by the end of the week... or at least I hope so.... its getting a bit late for a winter quilt but I'll be early for next season.

I guess thats about it for the moment.

Lucky me !!!!!!!

I was a lucky girl last Saturday night, we went to the " Cantabile Farewell Concert" and auction. The girls sang their repertoire for the choir games in Austria it was so wonderful, I felt so proud of my granddaughter Corinne ( I cried... silly Nan) I also won a door prize .... a large cane basket full of choccies, chips, lollies, tim tams and lots of other goodies... yummo.... then to my surprise I won the raffle... a cricket bat and stumps signed by the Queensland Bulls cricket team and coaches 2007/2008.... just what I always wanted ..I don't think... but it was exciting to win anyway, might sell it later. Its now 4 more sleeps till we leave for our trip to Austria..... can't wait.... this will probably be my last entry till I get back on 20th July.

A little gift

This is a candlewick cushion I have made for Gavan's Aunt, she is such a lovely lady and its a great pleasure to make something for her. I will get it in the post tomorrow and hope it gets there quickly.

Long Weekend

Its a long weekend here for the "Queens Birthday" even though its not really her birthday now... silly hey !!! but we had a birthday of our own on sunday..... my Mum ... its her 96th and shes still going strong, only a little celebration. Heather and Corinne were in Sydney, "Cantabile" were filming for televisions battle of the choirs on channel 7 unfortunately they didn't get through to the next round but I'm sure they will treasure the experience for a life time and are off to the World Choir Games in Austria in 3 weeks which will be very exciting for them.

I was having a lovely morning last sunday, cuppa in hand still in my dressing gown and slippers ( both of which my son.. Robert... gave me for mothers day) at 9.30am enjoying my own company ... Andre Rieu music going in the background....... when along came a peacock (female) so I quickly got the camera and hoped she would still be there for a piccie, I was able to get very close to her and she didn't seem to mind at all so here are a couple of them for you to see.

Thought I would make Mum a bag for Mothers Day this year so I chose the "Bow Bag" a Moonshine pattern by Monica Poole , gosh its really hard to find something for her but I think she will be happy with this.

I should have posted this piccie a while ago but I guess its better late than never. I was the lucky girl who received this tea towel from De, it was her birthday and she decided to give 2 pressies and I was one of them. Thank you very much De its great.
