An update on our little horror..... Poppy

What can I say ..... lol....

the journey with this little girl has been interesting but never boring.....

I keep saying it each day....

She is improving.....

A few random photos of life with Poppy so far.....

She is almost 11 months old....

She wasn't  particularly happy about wearing a coat but we have had a few very cold evenings .....

she is now very pleased to have it on.....

All in evenings work for this little lady....
Dining room mess .....

Lounge room mess....

It is hard to enjoy my dinner with this cute face peering at me.....

I'm sure she thinks she is cute.... makes me laugh....

Play time with Gav....

She isn't tearing him apart now which is quite a relief.....

I'm knitting myself this gorgeous jacket.....

While I was out Poppy decided knitting was something she might enjoy...
Of course after a little craft it is good to tear a toy apart.....
She broke the needles and chewed the counter into a million pieces....

It is tiring work and a little nap is required....

So.... in May she started Doggy Daycare.....

probably more for me to have a rest than for her really....

hoping this might help with her behaviour and socialise with other dogs,

we don't have any other animals to nip her in line.....

Never in my life would I have imagined sending a dog to daycare....

The things we do in older age is quite amazing.....

The staff tell me she is a well behaved little girl.....

they must be talking about another pup I think....

From this naughtiness.....

To this.....

Well behaved here.....

If you are good then you can enjoy my favourite chair while of sew.....

If you want to be naughty then you can't come in my sewing room....

I think the lesson I have learned is.....

you are never too old to make silly mistakes....

buy a puppy....
buy a Jack Russell Terrier Puppy....

15 years since we had a pup and I don't really remember our "Pippa" JRT being that naughty....
silly me......

But .....
we are never bored with this girl and fortunately she can be very lovable.....

These are the moments to be cherished....

We do love her ....
she keeps us on our toes....

Toodles.....

I’m sorry Helen I did have to laugh at your post about Poppy.
I know it can be trying but as you say she can be cute.
Maybe no soft toys, just rubber balls , bone and squeaky ones.
Keep you knitting up high when not doing it ??
We were lucky and Lacy wasn’t a chewer but now in her older age she barks a LOT.

Puppies are good for many things! Chewing things up, playing, and cuddles! I've heard that Jack Russels can be a handful of energy. Doggie Daycare is wonderful, my dog came home just exhausted as a puppy-I think she slept for 2 days every time I took her. Have fun!

What a little character - she will be so devoted once that mischievousness grows out...

Count your blessings taht the quilts are not ripped apart! wow Jack Russels are a busy breed for sure but with your patience and day care you will master the terrible 1 stage.
She does love to cuddle which is so cute and yes she does have a beautiful face.
