"The Outlook" at Boonah was our venue for this yeaars retreat.....

Lots of fun was had by all, chatting... sewing and eating of course....

We met at "Revival Cafe" for lunch....

Great things to see along the pathways in the town ....

A little retail therapy at a wonderful old country style shop with everything from mens workwear to quilting fabric....

"Maynards"

Then on to the serious business of the retreat....

The girls certainly were working hard.....

Chooky was going to join us but sadly covid changed her plans.....
she managed to do a little sewing even though she was unwell.....
Maybe next year she could join us....

My sewing....

I only needed to add borders as the tops were made by other girls ....
They are all charity quilts.....

Sadly only did 2 churn dash blocks....

I must get a wriggle on to get more done as
Chooky will be cracking the whip soon.....

Obviously we enjoyed sweet treats.....

Susan and I were selected to organise the "Mystery Project" this year ....
we decided on placemats for "Meals on Wheels"
Great job girls....

A small gift for their hard work....

There were a lot more projects doen by the girls but I seemed to have missed taking photos of them....
The kangaroos outside my bedroom....
Not a great photo through the flyscreen, nice to see them so close to the building......

Well that's about it for this retreat.....
I had a great time with wonderful company....
Happy sewing ....

Mt. Alford Lodge ......

This is such a beautiful place, peaceful and relaxing.....
I was lucky enough to be invited to join a lovely group of girls for a weekend retreat.....

It was a bit overcast but still beautiful.....

Our cabin.....

Cheryl  and  Alison were  my roomies....

It is great to enjoy having my own room with ensuite.....

Lunch at the local Mt. Alford pub....

Lots of sewing .... chatting and of course eating.....

I didn't take any food photos which is very unusual for me....

the meals were wonderful and so nice to be served without having to do the dishes ......

The white board "To Do List"....

Lots of terrific projects made by the girls....

I missed a lot of the projects for photos being the new girl ... lol .....

Thanks for my "Loose Threads" badge Maureen.....
I will treasure it as a lovely reminder of my time with you and the other girls....

I have no idea what the story is for these 2 cuties but a photo was a must....

Well that is my retreat story.....

I had such a good time meeting new people and enjoying time with others I already knew.....

Thanks so much for the invitation Susan.......

I'm off to do a little sewing now....

Retreats always stir up motivation so onwards and upwards....
