While the Cats are away......

we went out to play......
and we had a lovely fun day......
Sandi and Norreen are on a cruise to New Zealand......

Morning tea at Birchgrove Nursery......
Yummo.......

it has been raining  heavily but stopped for a short while so we took a leisurely walk around the garden.....
This could easily be Gav and me .......lol.....

Is that a sneaky cat hiding in the flower bed.....

We don't really have a plan for the rest of our day so we will just wing it.....

 glad we did ......
we found the most delighful book shop and a very charming lady serving us..... extremely helpful as well.
I'm not  much of a reader really but couldn't resist buying this book written by a local lady.... she has many books but this was her first apparently, looking forward to reading this one.....
note to self....do more reading and less games on phone....
"Under the Greenwood Tree" books and art is the name of this shop.

Next stop we went to an antique shop on "Gallery Walk" a wonderful street of shops, cafes and restaurants on Mt. Tamborine ......

A little purchase of course.....

Next door was a terrific shop, I can't remember the name but so many different and unusual things to buy there.....we will be going back there very soon I think.

Then lunch ......
A very yummie savoury bacon scone with chutney.....

Followed by a raw snickers pie....
we both left half of our treats as it was sooooo sweet......
It was quite small but still we couldn't finish.

Now to get wet hurrying to the car.....
we did have a super day.....
Thanks Teresa for your company and the giggles.....
Loved the day out.....
So it is Toodles once again.....

Sounds like a perfect excuse to have fun while the others are away - love those little statues. Definitely read more and less games....I need to try her books.
