More fun in Bathurst.....

We were up reasonably early to take in a little sight seeing in the city....
lots of old buildings and beautiful parks .....

Tried taking a selfie but as you can see I'm not very good at it..... lol

Then we were off to drive around the Mount Panorama  Circuit.....
It was really interesting, goodness knows how the race drivers manage this track at such high speeds....

So what else could we do to fill in the day.....

I know....
"Quilts in the Shearing Shed at O'Connell,
just outside of Bathurst with Brigitte Giblin.

raising money for the local Bush Fire Brigade....

Oh my gosh.... I have never seen so many quilts in one place before.....

Photo overload now..... sorry.....

Well look who I found ....Anni Downs.....

So a few purchases and off to get a cuppa with Gav....

The ladies had a cafe setup with wonderful home made scones and jam....

It was sooooo relaxing sitting in the sun....
the scones and jam were fantastic.....

So now to see the quilts.....
Gav had a little rest in the car for this bit..... lol

It was actually in the shearing shed..... bit smelly but great.....

So glad I got to see them all.....
My shopping for the day.....

Well that's all I have today.....
Toodles again.....

Wow! Great you got to see all those gorgeous quilts. Very familiar that drive around the circuit. Certainly does bring home just how good those race car drivers are. Nice shopping too x

Great photos. One day I hope to visit there. Beautiful quilts and you didn't buy a lot, nice what you did buy though.

I have very fond memories of Bathurst. My grandmother lived there and I used to holiday with her when I was younger - much younger. Thanks for sharing your lovely photos.
