LEST WE FORGET

Norreen's 60th Birthday celebrations

We had such a good time helping Norreen celebrate  her 60th Birthday on the 18th April....
lunch with her friends and family at the Beaudesert RSL.

The fun Birthday girl.....

Desserts

Thank you to Norreen and her family for inviting us to join them for the celebrations.

But the celebrations continued.....
Norreen's sister Danelle and her daughter Dianne invited me and Sandi to join them for a mini break at the Gold Coast on Anzac Day weekend.

We started with High Tea at "CreativiTea"

Nor and me.

Danelle and Sandi.

Very very yummie goodies.

We went to the movies and the markets.

Nor and Dianne

We stitched and laughed

We had breakfasts.

We had dinner in bed...... what a naughty dinner this was.

We checked out the view from our room

All in all we had a great time.

On Sunday we went to our Sunday Stitchers group but we were very tired so not much stitching went on for us.

2 Celebrations

It's been a very busy week here and today we have Gavan's Birthday and Corinne's Graduation from the University of the Sunshine Coast.

We are so proud of you Corinne not just for what you have achieved but for the young woman you have become......
caring, thoughtful and a real stunner like your Nan.....lol...a little humour there sorry.

Heather a very proud Mum.

It was so good to be able to join in the celebrations with you .....

Pop.... Nan....Heather....Corinne and June.

It was  also Pop's Birthday so we didn't do anything very special for him this year.....
he hasn't been feeling very well so he was happy to take a back seat for Corinne's big day.

On our way home Gav and I had a quiet birthday celebration at a service station and we enjoyed a yummie Krispy Kreme doughnut.

A progress photo of my Christmas wreath.

Corinne's Birthday

Corinne's 23rd Birthday.....

It was a very quiet birthday night at home celebration this year....
Pizza

Watching a movie with us .... Nan and Pop.... after a day at work for her.
We did have cake but no photo.
There was a busy week ahead ..... another post to follow.

Tuesday saw more progress on my Christmas Wreath but that seems to be the only photo I have of our Tuesday girls get together.
Very unusual.....

FIS Birthday

"Friends in Stitching" our online group of ladies celebrated Sue's birthday and it was turn to send her pressie.

Our theme this year is to make a Scissor Fob and put together a small bundle of sewing notions.
I really enjoyed making this fob for Sue..... lots of bullion roses.

Naturally if you have a fob you need scissors to put it on and these came with a thimble, needles and tape measure but you also need an unpicker,  threads and choccies.

I hope that Sue enjoyed her day.

Tuesday Girls and other stuff....

Our Tuesday girl Sandi had a birthday last week, we had a terrific time at Sandi's home making our Easter Bunnies and of course party goodies too.
We did at least buy her a Birthday cake and sang of course.... not very well I must say.

Hinting obviously works....
Sandi has been doing this for a long time so we 3 made water bottle covers for her.

Earlier we bought her a beautiful topiary rose bush.....
yes you are seeing it right.... 2 colours .....isn't it lovely ?

Its always the birthday girl that chooses the activity for the day and Sandi chose to stay at home and make Easter Bunnies together, she even made this lovely table of goodies for us all.

The bottle cover I made for Sandi.......

Here is my little "Bippity" a Hatched and Patched pattern.

Here we are being silly with our bunnies dancing together.
You really had to be there I think...... it really was funny.

This is the only photo of the table runner I made for Lynda for our Sunday Stitchers Easter swap.
Inca, me and Lynda with her swap pressie.

More sewing .....

My Tooly..... what a great little pattern this is and so very useful too.

My other little project is this great bag by Natalie Bird, a project from our Sunday Stitchers group.

I'm really enjoying making these small projects, its a nice break from quilts ....
but I have started another one.....I will show progress photos as I go along.

Sunday Stitchers, Tuesday stitching and Wednesday chocolate

Sunday Stitchers group was another terrific get together....

We celebrated the day with an Easter theme, yummie food and choccies.

We had an Easter swap, my partner was Lynda and she made me this great table topper....
it looks terrific on my table....Thanks heaps Lynda, I love it.

I've never decorated for Easter before but I think its a must do from now on.....
this is the beginning of my collection.

Well silly me.....
I have been searching for a photo of the table runner I made for my partner Lynda but apparently I forgot to take one..... oh well I might be able to get one from her later.

We also had an Easter Raffle with money raised going to our "Biggest Morning Tea" for the Cancer Council Fund...... the lovely Maria was the winner, we hope she enjoys all the goodies.

Contents of the case.

Tuesday stitching saw more progress on our Christmas Wreaths and a few holly leaves.

Looks a bit odd there I must say.

Happy mail for me was Gail Pan's Christmas book.....
might have to put a few of these projects on my ever growing  list.

Today was Tenpin Bowling day and I won a few goodies there....
so look out body here they come.....

Remembering my big Sister...... June and me.

In the cookies of life......Sisters would be the chocolate chips.

Love this photo...... lovely memories.
Still missing her.
